Virtualvfunc_Virtualvfunc_the dispose function is supposed to drop all references to other
objects, but keep the instance otherwise intact, so that client method
invocations still work. It may be run multiple times (due to reference
loops). Before returning, dispose should chain up to the dispose method
of the parent class.

the instance begun in dispose and chain up to the finalize method of the

added as marshal guards to the closure, to ensure that an extra
reference count is held on object during invocation of the
closure. Usually, this function will be called on closures that
use this object as closure data.

A stream that failed to close will still return Gio.IOErrorEnum.CLOSED for all operations. Still, it is important to check and report the error to the user, otherwise there might be a loss of data as all data might not be written.
